Investigating edtech

Edtech is high on the agenda nationally, and it keeps cropping up across our research with children, parents and professionals working with young people – but what does it actually look like in schools day to day?

We’ve launched an ongoing project to find out. We’re spending time in classrooms, talking to pupils, teachers and senior leaders, and observing how different tools are chosen, used and managed in real practice. From behaviour platforms to revision apps, to in-lesson devices, we’re exploring what these technologies are good for, where they fall short and how decisions about them are made.

This is the start of a rolling programme of school visits, and we’ll be sharing our progress here.
