To transform care for the millions living with neurological conditions in the UK, The Neurological Alliance commissioned us to carry out an accessible survey of those with a neurological condition – for the first time capturing the experiences of people across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. 

With over 10,000 responses from adults, children, and carers, My Neuro Survey 2024/5 is the largest and most inclusive patient experience survey of its kind. It provides a powerful insight into what it means to live with a neurological condition today. 

During the survey design process, Revealing Reality and the Neurological Alliance England worked closely with people affected by a range of neurological conditions, as well as healthcare professionals, to ensure that the research addressed the experiences of those with diverse accessibility needs. 

To capture the full spectrum of experience, we distributed three tailored surveys for adults, children, and carers. We also used various channels of survey dissemination to allow as wide a range of people as possible to contribute to the research, with paper-based surveys, online distribution, and the option to complete over the phone.  

By revealing the systemic issues that people affected by neurological conditions face, our survey data provides evidence to drive campaigning and policy development. It serves as a powerful tool for both system-wide improvements and advocacy at national and local levels, supporting efforts to ensure that everyone with a neurological condition can access the care and support they need.
